Description

ABOUT CAREPROST

Careprost 3ml eye drops is a medication used to treat conditions such as glaucoma and ocular hypertension (increased pressure in the eye). It contains the active ingredient bimatoprost, which is a type of prostaglandin analogue that helps to reduce pressure in the eye by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye. Additionally, Careprost has also been used for cosmetic purposes to enhance eyelash growth by increasing the length, thickness, and darkness of lashes.

COMPOSITION

Careprost 3ml eye drops contain the active ingredient bimatoprost 0.03% (0.3mg/ml). The inactive ingredients include: sodium chloride, sodium phosphate dibasic, citric acid monohydrate, and purified water. It is important to be aware of all the ingredients in a medication, particularly if you have any allergies or intolerances to specific substances. If you have any concerns, it is best to consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using Careprost.

WORKING OF CAREPROST

Careprost 3ml eye drops work by increasing the outflow of fluid (aqueous humor) from the eye, which reduces the pressure inside the eye. This mechanism of action is achieved through the active ingredient bimatoprost, which is a type of prostaglandin analogue. Bimatoprost works by selectively binding to and activating the prostamide receptors in the eye. This leads to an increase in the outflow of fluid from the eye and a decrease in intraocular pressure. By reducing the pressure in the eye, Careprost helps to prevent further damage to the optic nerve and other parts of the eye, which can lead to vision loss in conditions such as glaucoma.
